II. Data protection
General information
When you visit this website, technical access data is processed to deliver the pages. If you contact us by email or telephone, we process the information in your enquiry. On request, the website prepares an email enquiry in your browser. It does not send the enquiry itself and provides neither a customer account nor a shopping basket. Information about the data controller and your rights is provided in the following sections.
III. HOSTING
We host the content of our website with:
Strato AG, Otto-Ostrowski-Straße 7, 10249 Berlin (hereinafter “Strato”). When you visit our website, Strato records various log files, including your IP addresses.
For further information, please see Strato’s privacy policy: https://www.strato.de/datenschutz/.
We use Strato on the basis of Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. We have a legitimate interest in presenting our website as reliably as possible.
Processing on our behalf
We have entered into a data processing agreement for the use of the service named above. This is an agreement required by data protection law which ensures that the provider processes the personal data of our website visitors only on our instructions and in compliance with the GDPR.
IV. General information and mandatory disclosures
Privacy
The operators of this website take the protection of your personal data very seriously. We treat your personal data confidentially and in accordance with statutory data protection requirements and this privacy policy. Various types of personal data are collected when you use this website. Personal data is data that can be used to identify you personally. This privacy policy explains what data we collect and what we use it for. It also explains how and for what purpose this is done. Please note that data transmission over the internet, for example when communicating by email, may have security vulnerabilities. Complete protection of data against access by third parties is not possible.
Information about the data controller
The controller responsible for processing data on this website is:
Philipp Ballier
Schlosspark Wilhelmshöhe 16F
34131 Kassel
T: +49 (0) 561 50358853
E: info@honig-aus-kassel.de
The controller is the natural or legal person who, alone or jointly with others, determines the purposes and means of processing personal data, such as names, email addresses or similar information.
Retention period
Unless a more specific retention period is stated in this privacy policy, we retain your personal data until the purpose for processing it no longer applies. If you make a valid erasure request or withdraw your consent to data processing, your data will be erased unless we have other legally permissible grounds for retaining your personal data, such as retention periods under tax or commercial law. In the latter case, the data will be erased once those grounds no longer apply.
General information on the legal bases for processing data on this website
If you have consented to data processing, we process your personal data on the basis of Article 6(1)(a) GDPR or Article 9(2)(a) GDPR where special categories of data under Article 9(1) GDPR are processed. Consent may be withdrawn at any time. If your data is necessary for the performance of a contract or to take steps prior to entering into a contract, we process it on the basis of Article 6(1)(b) GDPR. We also process your data on the basis of Article 6(1)(c) GDPR where this is necessary to comply with a legal obligation. Processing may also take place on the basis of our legitimate interests under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. The following sections of this privacy policy explain the legal bases that apply in each case.
Withdrawing your consent to data processing
Many data processing operations are possible only with your express consent. You may withdraw consent you have already given at any time. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before it was withdrawn.
Right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority
In the event of infringements of the GDPR, data subjects have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, in particular in the Member State of their habitual residence, place of work or place of the alleged infringement. This right to lodge a complaint is without prejudice to any other administrative or judicial remedy.
Right to data portability
You have the right to receive data that we process automatically on the basis of your consent or in performance of a contract, or to have it provided to a third party, in a commonly used, machine-readable format. If you request the direct transfer of the data to another controller, this will take place only where technically feasible.
Access, erasure and rectification
Within the scope of applicable legal provisions, you have the right at any time to obtain information free of charge about your stored personal data, its origin and recipients, and the purpose of processing, as well as, where applicable, the right to rectification or erasure of this data. You can contact us at any time about this or with further questions about personal data.
Right to restriction of processing
You have the right to request restriction of the processing of your personal data. You can contact us at any time for this purpose. The right to restriction of processing applies in the following cases: If you contest the accuracy of the personal data we hold about you, we generally need time to verify it. For the duration of this verification, you have the right to request restriction of the processing of your personal data. If your personal data has been or is being processed unlawfully, you can request restriction of processing instead of erasure. If we no longer need your personal data, but you require it to establish, exercise or defend legal claims, you have the right to request restriction of processing instead of erasure. If you have objected under Article 21(1) GDPR, your interests must be weighed against ours. Until it has been determined whose interests prevail, you have the right to request restriction of the processing of your personal data.
Where processing of your personal data has been restricted, that data may, apart from storage, be processed only with your consent, for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims, for the protection of the rights of another natural or legal person, or for reasons of important public interest of the European Union or a Member State.

V. Data collection on this website
Cookies
This website does not use cookies for its page functions and does not include a visitor counter.
Enquiries by email or telephone
If you contact us by email or telephone, we store and process your enquiry, including all personal data arising from it, such as your name and enquiry, for the purpose of dealing with your request. We do not pass this data on without your consent. This data is processed on the basis of Article 6(1)(b) GDPR where your enquiry relates to the performance of a contract or is necessary to take steps prior to entering into a contract. In all other cases, processing is based on our legitimate interest in handling enquiries addressed to us effectively under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR, or on your consent under Article 6(1)(a) GDPR if this has been requested; consent may be withdrawn at any time. The data you send us in contact enquiries remains with us until you ask us to erase it, withdraw your consent to its storage, or the purpose for storing it no longer applies, for example once your request has been dealt with. Mandatory statutory provisions, in particular statutory retention periods, remain unaffected.
Email enquiries through the website
Your honey selection and the information entered for an email enquiry are prepared in your browser. The website does not send this information itself and does not transmit the names, contact details, time periods or messages you enter to a form server. Only when you send the prepared draft yourself from your email program is the information transmitted to us by email and processed as described under “Enquiries by email or telephone”.
To carry your honey selection between pages, only the identifiers of the selected honeys and their respective quantities are stored in your browser tab’s session storage (sessionStorage). Names, contact details, time periods and messages are not stored there. The saved selection is deleted when the browser tab session ends.
For an initial enquiry about an apiary in a private garden, an approximate location or district, a short description and a contact we can reach are sufficient. The website does not provide a photo upload function. More precise location details and, if appropriate, a suitable way to share photographs will be agreed personally later.
